
About
Max is an Australian–German composer and sound designer based in Munich. Originally from Canberra, he creates music and sound for video games, film, and television.
With a background spanning pop, metal, jazz, big band, and orchestral music, Max brings a wide stylistic range to his work. He has performed internationally at concerts, festivals, and musicals, sharing the stage with artists such as Andrew Farriss (INXS) and jazz trombone great Jiggs Whigham.
Alongside composition, Max specialises in sound design and audio implementation. He crafts, records, and mixes sound effects for film and game productions, and integrates them using FMOD and Unreal Engine 5.

Pixel Maniacs
A first-person puzzle game set in a quirky sci-fi world. Puzzle and platform your way through a multidimensional story, and maybe even save the multiverse along the way.
This project was a delight to work on. The multiverse story gave me ample opportunity to explore different musical genres and occasionally even spoof famous soundtracks from other games.
My personal favourite: the rubber-chicken, country music cover of the main theme.

I was super grateful to have the main theme recorded by the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg in Potsdam as part of the "Live Score Berlin" initiative by AudioCreatures. Having my music played by such a wonderful orchestra was a magical experience and I'm very proud of how the recording turned out!

An educational point-and-click where children can learn about archaeology and how it works in a fun and engaging way.
